[rF] RELEASE - Hungaroring 2009
Hungaroring 2009 updated by 6e66o & LMT
Changes to EMG Track:
- new chicane (curbs)
- new textures
- new materials
- new shaders
- some new objects
- working videowalls
- waving flags
- moving cloud system
- adjusted ambient colours
- adjusted RoadBumpAmp
- a lot of small fixes
- optional high res horizon Textures (see "high res horizon" Folder)
incl. new Racegroove Texture (copy Racegroove.tga from "Racegroove by 6e66o" Folder to "Locations" Folder)

Install:
just copy GameData Folder in your rFactor Installation!

- EMG (Euro) Danny for bringing the track to rF (couldnt reach Danny to request permission, as he retired from simracing/modding, but i hope he has no problem with this)

- Kendo for tweaking the cam

ReplyDeleteAbout the horizon... Where should i copy Bka and Bkb te get hi-res horizon? Do i need both of them?
In Hungaroring_2009 where the .mas files are, or in Hungaroring_2009 folder where the .AIW, .cam, etc files are?

copy both dds in GameData/Locations/Hungaroring 2009 Folder, where the mas files are located.
^Yeah, i just did that. :) Stupid me...i realized that i can take a screenshots and compare them. xD :))

ReplyDeleteFirst of all: PERFECT track! I was waiting for this for a long time, a quality version of the Hungaroring. Love to drive on this one. Thanks for this one, to all the people who have make this track possible to drive. There are 2 questions though. 1. How can I have not 'flying' trucks in my mirrors in some turns (f.e. turn 2)? 2. Can I put the effect on the tarmac off? I mean the effect when I drive into turn 2, suddenly the tarmac colour goes dark and lightness. Hope you understand what I mean.

dont know about the flying trucks in the mirrors.
ReplyDeleteThe dark effect on the tarmac is caused by the shadows of the clouds ;)
And yes you could turn it of, by deleting the instance in the SCN, but that would cause mismatches.
6e66o, thanks for your reply. Helps me. Well, the trucks aren't flying of course, but in my mirrors (cockpit view) it looks like they are hanging in the air, but I can live with that. I have turn all the settings at full and I am running flat out on Hungaroring. The track will be a hit!

Hi 6e66o! I've just had some dozens of laps and... wow... very cool track. Especially the trees look beautiful. If I understand the comments above properly the sudden change of brightness in different locations of the track is meant to be that way due to shadows caused by clouds? I think I have never seen something like this on other tracks? Or is this also related to the graphics settings in the main menu? Until recently I could not set everything to full. Anyway, thanks a lot for this track update!

at the very bottom of the scn file
I solved the problem of the 'flying' trucks. It was the following line in my .PLR file:
ReplyDeleteRearview Cull="1"
Changed it to "0" and I see all the details in my mirrors, so the trucks don't fly anymore;-) Now I am happy for 100%.
Also deleted the newclouds and the new Hungaroring is perfectly personalized:-)
Now I am going to race again!

ReplyDeleteThe track is awesome and much realistic as the 2009 season. However, when I tried to race using the F1RL 2009 and/or the F1 2009 WCP mod cars with it, the game crashed and I noticed this error message from the trace log file -- "could not found Hungaroring_2009.ini" But, I can race on it with the other mods' cars like FSONE mods and others without the game crashing.
Is it not compatible with the 2 mods I mentioned? How can I fix this?

Increase difficulty?
ReplyDeleteYes, it is a possibility of course. But I have the difficulty setting @ 105% and that's on all the other tracks pretty hard for me. But @ the great Hungaroring I am #1 after driving one single round. The AI are slow. I was hoping for a solution. Don't you experience the same issue 6e66o?

ReplyDeleteYou could try to open aiw file and change these lines:
WorstAdjust=(xy)
MidAdjust=(xy)
BestAdjust=(xy)
Just look into another tracks aiw, and see what it says there.
Increasing BestAdjust should make the AI go faster.
This will cause mismatches though.
It worked, thanks a lot! settings are now:

ReplyDeleteWhen i start hungaroring track and do nothing, then it will nothing happen but when i changing camera from TV Cockpit to TV camera, then he always chrashed. I don't understand why other ppl don't have that problem:S

different rFactor installations?
Any other Versions of Hungaroring installed?
Maybe try delete Track and HAT(UserData/Log/HAT/..) file and install it again.
I don't have other versions of hungary installed. But with other mod's he is working good, alone with F1RFT 2009 Final not.

ReplyDeleteJust love the track. I am driving the FSONE 2008 Mod. When I am driving turn 3 and 4 I see the trees on the left flickering. Which settings can I try to delete the flickering? By the way, I am driving with all your effects, including shadows now...

I solved the problem regarding your trees @ LOD Multiplier. I have replaced the original EMG gmt's and it worked. No flickering anymore. Nice track now;-)

ReplyDeleteYou're right, but when I change the LOD multiplier to 1.0, the trees (far distance) on tracks like the Nürburgring are popping up. I don't like that. Because I never play online, I don't mind this solution. I don't fear mismatches.
